The Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Maintenance Electrician will be responsible to assist the facilities team with the general maintenance & repair of facility electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Install & maintain wiring, control & lighting systems
- Inspect electrical components such as transformers & circuit breakers
- Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices
- Read blueprints and/or technical diagrams
- Assist team with facility repairs including but not limited to, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, concrete repair and sheetrock
- Obtain and maintain various certifications in regards to electric, HVAC and plumbing
- Respond quickly to resolve unanticipated issues
- Troubleshoot root cause of problems in a cost effective manner in accordance with Maintenance Team and Supervisor
- Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects
The pay range for this position is $22 - $25 per hour
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years work experience with electrical system maintenance & repair
- Must be able to work Saturdays
- Must be able to commute into and out of Manhattan/New York City on a daily basis
