To support the implementation of Mercedes-Benz’s battery field measures and drive the challenging on-site restart of production, the MB Task Force has been expanded.
For overall project success, it is critical to ramp up production restart onsite with planned battery demand within a tight timeline, we are therefore seeking for a Logistics Program Planning expert to join our task force at the supplier site to ensure and support our battery supplier to secure the production and delivery to MB customer locations, this role considers the available capacities and fulfills the customer demands.
Essential functions of this position:
Tracking of MB demand
Planning of supplier capacity for all Cell, Module and Pack lines
Planning of outbound delivery
Preparation and alignment of production program at supplier site, under consideration of capacity, shift models, ramp-up, ramp-down of production lines, etc.
Transparency on production output and stock
Full responsibility for taking over tasks and solving problems
Project management support function for project leader (shopfloor management, decision preparation, lessons learned procedure, time management, coordination of project team)
Steering of cross-functional project topics including preparing and giving management presentations
Task Description
Steering & coordination of capacity plan, delivery plan & production plan
Verify transparency and reporting of production output, stock level, delivery & arrival status, ensure successful handover to supplier
Data analysis, problem solving, tracking of open issues
Support management for assigned tasks, generate presentation for management
Participation in cross functional projects/tasks
Education
Bachelor’s degree, Industrial Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Logistics Planning or similar education
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in Production Program Planning.
Supplier onsite Taskforce experience, oversea battery logistics/ aftersales logistics experience is a plus
Specific knowledge
Good understanding of logistics/supply chain process in automotive industry, e.g. program planning, inbound/ outbound, inventory, MRP, EDI, etc.
Experienced in project management, automotive development and logistics service provider management
Structural thinking and working approach to consolidate process related information into target-oriented workflow
Quick in stepping into new environment and intercultural competence
Ability to communicate in English and Chinese fluently, German is a plus
Proficient knowledge in MS Office especially in PPT, Excel and Power BI
Above-average commitment and a high degree of responsibility
Integrative, open-minded character with excellent analytical, communication and facilitation skills; strong background in cross-cultural project Management. Coordination skills and project management; motivated by working on new things and fun at work, willing to go the extra mile.
