Mercedes-Benz Vans is a successful manufacturer of premium light commercial vehicles (LCV) for customers and markets worldwide. Our purpose is “to move transportation to the next level” and to define the LCV business of the future: with CO2-neutrality and focused on connectivity and digital solutions. We have decided to expand our battery-electric LCV production capacity and implement an entirely new plant next to our existing Mercedes-Benz production facility in Jawor. Your task:

• Work on planning and establishing the new IT Infrastructure mainly in Data Centre area for the VAN.EA vehicle.
• Support in the Management of Data Centre Infrastructure ensuring high availability and performance of IT services for the plant.
• Implement innovative IT Infrastructure components and technologies and work closely with IT Service provider to ensure maximum performance, availability, incident and security measures are implemented.
• Drive the process of harmonization/standardization, also between the different VAN sites around the world.
• Support in the management and planning of the Data Centre Budget and manage Service Provider performance.
• Mitigate open security risks within the Data Centre environment. 
• Coordinate and resolve with IT Service Provider related incidents and service requests through standard  Ticket Management Systems.
• Prepare, present, test and manage the complete IT Infrastructure Changes through the standard change control processes.
• Manage IT Infrastructure Project Activities and integrate within the VAN.EA project Team.

• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or any related field
• Experience in IT Infrastructure mainly on Data Centre and Networks
• Knowledge on Project Management, Active Directory, Windows OS, Linux, VMWare and Database Knowledge.
• Knoweledge in IT Security and Governance including Ticket Incident Handling would be advantageous
• Ability to communicate, analyze and think strategically.
• 3-5 years of working experience within Information Technology preferably in IT Infrastructure
• Good MS office skills and solid experience in presentations on management level
• Ability to speak fluent Polish and English would be an advantage
• Being able to work in an intercultural team, ability to work with a Collaborative Team, high social and communicative skills for dealing with internal and external Partners
