Job Overview:

The IT Automation Specialist designs, builds, and supports automation solutions that measurably improve business productivity and operational quality. This role combines business process analysis and process mining, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) implementation using Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud + Desktop), and production operations ownership for live automation use cases. The specialist also partners with business and IT stakeholders to leverage AI assistants (Microsoft Copilot and/or Claude) to accelerate knowledge work, automate repeatable tasks, and reduce cycle time—while adhering to security, compliance, and governance expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • RPA DEVELOPMENT & SUPPORT LEAD, ONSITE/OFFSHORE TEAM MANAGEMENT (30%)
    • Lead the agile development team for monthly / quarterly release activities. 
    • Work with IT and business partners to gather and document business requirements, design Robotics Process Automation solutions. 
    • Develop and execute test plans and assess delivery quality.
    • Own operational health of production automations: monitoring, alerting, incident triage, defect remediation, and continuous improvement.
    • Manage stakeholder communications.
    • Tracking, monitoring of health and continuous improvement of process flows. 
  • COLLABORATION WITH BUSINESS TEAMS (30%)
    • Collaborate productively with key Business Process specialists as well as MBUSA / offshore development team. 
    • Lead discovery and intake for automation candidates by defining problem statements, mapping "AS-IS" workflows, and identifying pain points, bottlenecks.
    • Execute structured analysis activities such as defining scope, developing hypotheses, interviewing/observing users, capturing KPI data, identifying root causes, and formalizing recommendations
    • Partner with process owners to validate “TO-BE” workflows and ensure adoption-readiness.
  • BE AN AI EVANGELIST (40%)
    • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to leverage AI assistants (Microsoft COPILOT) to accelerate knowledge work, automate repeatable tasks, and reduce cycle time.
    • Create AI-assisted automation patterns that improve throughput and quality (examples: summarization, classification, drafting, extraction, knowledge retrieval) embedded into business workflows.
    • Introduce, educate and mentor teams in IT as well as business on effective usage of COPILOT. 
    • Hold training sessions and forums to spread the AI message across the organization.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will be provided for this position. 
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:

  • Business-General: 5 years
  • Information Technology: 5 years
  • Vendor Management : 3 years

Education:
Bachelor's Degree is required. Recommended majors include:

  • Information Technology, Computer/Information Science, Business Process Automation, AI

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is required
  • MS-Power Platform Certified is required
  • AI-900 certification is required

Additional Knowledge:

  • MS-Power Platform: 3 years

  • COPILOT: 2 years

  • Leverage AI assistants (Microsoft Copilot and/or Claude) to accelerate knowledge work, automate repeatable tasks, and reduce cycle time: 2 years
