We are looking for Specialists and Team Members to join us in crafting a wide variety of vehicles from the Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV to our all-electric electric vehicle, the EQS SUV and EQE SUV. Our Tuscaloosa County site is home to the production of Mercedes’ luxury SUV models, including electric vehicles. Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Our two campuses are among the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, with over 6 million square feet combined.

Essential Functions:
- Lead responsibility from purchasing department for managing waste reduction project. Required to work cross functionally across MBUSI to implement and scale process.
- Other areas include finance, production, quality, logistics and legal. Similarly, the intern will support in all commercial discussions with suppliers that collaborate with MBUSI in such project.
- Support and coordination of other sustainable initiatives with suppliers.
- General support in other activities related to purchasing department, including future sourcing projects and cross functional meeting coordination.
Other Regular Daily Tasks:
- Preparation of reports and presentations for management.
- Coordinate obsolescence claims process and feedback.
- Participate in various negotiations with suppliers.
- Support in other purchasing tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.
Education:
Student in Finance/Controlling, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Fluent in English
- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, One Note
- Preferred knowledge of AM Supply
- Project management experience
- Team work and collaboration
- Cost engineering
Preferred Start Date:
- July/August 2025
Benefits:
- Paid internship - hourly rate $18
- Coverage of visa costs
- $700 housing bonus
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master’s degree
- Studies outside of the U.S.A (we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A)
- A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
- Available for a minimum of 6 months
