As an intern at Mercedes-Benz Finance Japan office in Makuhari, Chiba prefecture (our office moved from Tokyo to Chiba this February), you will have the opportunity to experience an intercultural working environment in our Business Intelligence (BI) Team. You will have a wide range of invaluable opportunities in automobile financing company and improve your communication skills by working together with our team as well as other departments.

 

As a part of our team your tasks will be:

1)     Data Analysis Fundamentals

Practice data manipulation and cleansing using Excel

2)     Business Intelligence Tools

Enhance current Power BI dashboard visuals/functionality

3)     Data Governance

Update BI policy guideline to latest compliance standards

4)     Team Collaboration

Participate in team meetings and provide updates on progress

 

Starting date: As soon as possible

*The internship is set for a period of 3-6 months

Depending on the circumstances, remote work is possible for up to 3 times a week

Living support: Mercedes-Benz Japan provides its Trainees with a monthly living support of 150,000 Yen. This will have to cover all living expenses.

Required/Preferred language abilities

English mandatory: Over TOEIC 800, TOEFL iBT 94-101 (B2/C1)

Both Japanese and English capabilities is advantageous

 

Required specialized knowledge

Interest in data analytics and project management

No particular dept. majors preferred but some common majors are:

1. Business/Commerce

-        Information Science/Technology

-        Economics

2. Statistics

3. Computer Science

4. Engineering

 

Preferred skills

Interest in coding/programming

MS Office basic (proficiency in Excel is advantageous)
