Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) HR People Partner Junior Associate Consultant (JAC) Overview and Responsibilities
The Junior Associate Consultant (JAC) will support the MBUSA Human Resources People Partner team in the development and fine-tuning of HR policies and guidelines that impact HR policy compliance, employee relations, organizational design, and the employee experience. The JAC will gain exposure to a broad range of HR functions, working closely with the People Partners to ensure seamless implementation of HR strategies that align with company and department goals.
Primary responsibilities of JAC:
- Policy and Document Management:
- Assist in the preparation, revision, and maintenance of key HR policy documents, including the Employee Handbook, policies, guidelines, and templates.
- Develop specific resources such as HR process maps and “need-to-know” documents and guidelines to streamline communications and enhance efficiencies.
- Accurately analyze and update critical HR data into company systems, ensuring consistency and compliance with established policies.
- Assist in maintaining secure and accessible electronic filing systems to support ongoing policy and document management efforts.
- Assist in the preparation, revision, and maintenance of key HR policy documents, including the Employee Handbook, policies, guidelines, and templates.
- Project Support Across HR Functional Areas:
- Contribute to significant HR initiatives across various functional areas, including Operations, Talent Development & Acquisition, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Agile, and the CHRO Office.
- Support the Auto.Ai Project, assisting in tasks related to communication and coordination.
- Provide regular updates and support in People Analytics reporting, including gathering, organizing, and delivering critical data.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of company-wide restructures, ensuring all steps are completed accurately, data is verified, and approvals are managed seamlessly.
- Contribute to significant HR initiatives across various functional areas, including Operations, Talent Development & Acquisition, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Agile, and the CHRO Office.
- HR Systems Administration:
- Collaborate closely with HR Operations and People Analytics to drive data accuracy in programs and projects managed by the People Partner team.
- Manage and update changes in PeopleSoft maintaining data accuracy and alignment across HR systems.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduated from an undergraduate degree | Graduate Student
- Preferred Concentrations: Business Administration, Human Resources, and Communications Majors

- Available from July 2025 – December 2025
- Hybrid in-person schedule 3 days weekly, up to 28 hours maximum
- Available during core working hours of 10 AM - 3 PM Eastern

- Demonstrated strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, strong attention to detail, and alignment with organization goals.
- High level of organization, independence, and attention to detail to support multiple, cross-functional projects and maintain accurate, up-to-date information across HR platforms.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite - word processing, spreadsheet software and ability to learn new IT application functions and administrative processes quickly.
