HiL Plant Modeling and Commissioning Engineer

Role: HiL Plant Modeling and Commissioning Engineer About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled HiL Plant Modeling and Commissioning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing plant models for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing of automotive systems, with a focus on eDrive Components and Rest bus simulation. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by creating reliable test platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform requirements analysis and optimize designs for HiL plant models

  • Design and develop plant models based on system requirements

  • Analyse system functions and their implications for HiL testing

  • Execute system testing in HiL and/or vehicle environments according to commissioning requests and release schedules

  • Conduct reviews of designs, specifications, and other artifacts created by peers

  • Independently plan and execute assigned tasks as a fully contributing member of the team, exercising independent judgment within established guidelines

  • Troubleshoot issues efficiently and provide timely solutions

  • Contribute to innovation through product, process, business improvements, publications, and/or patents

  • Identify and implement process and efficiency improvements

     

     

 Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong experience with scripting languages such as Python and Vector CAPL. Experience with PROVETECH: TA tool is a plus

  • Solid understanding of dSPACE/ETAS/Vector VT HiL setups

  • Experience with configuration and requirements management tools such as SVN, GIT, DOORS, and PREEVISION

  • Experience with testing and automation tools such as CANape, CANoe, INCA, PROVEtech:TA and ECU.Test

  • Familiarity with communication protocols including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and FlexRay

  • Knowledge of diagnostic protocols such as UDS

  • Proven experience in debugging HiL-related issues

  • Experience with plant modeling using MATLAB libraries

  • Experience in software validation activities, including test specification development and implementation of test automation frameworks

  • Good understanding of software 'V' Cycle development

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player

 

Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in the automotive field, particularly with electric vehicle (EV) components and systems

  • Exposure to multi-cultural work environments

  • Basic knowledge of German language

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Plant Modeling / HiL Testing / Rest Bus Simulation
