 Job Overview:

Coordinate the planning of productive or non-productive processes and concepts for the industrialization and manufacturing of automobiles according to specified standards in quality, productivity, ergonomics, safety, and economy. Drive own initiatives to optimize processes and challenge the team, ensure compliance with standards, and achieve continuous improvement in all aspects of production. Determine and facilitate the distribution of project and process tasks while balancing the capacity of the team. Lead the work group by defining priorities, implementing efficient task management strategies, and conducting periodic follow-up meetings to optimize team performance and achieve project goals.

 Responsibilities: 

Plan, prioritize, and control installation projects or service contracts

Prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.

Lead the monitoring and coordination of plant shutdown activities. Oversee progress, troubleshoot any issues, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure a successful and efficient shutdown process.

Coordinate the implementation, and assurance of compliance with quality standards for vehicle manufacturing. Oversee adherence to VDA, IATF, ISO standards, etc., by developing robust quality management systems and providing guidance to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.

Review for approval of technical specifications for installation projects or service contracts. Develop comprehensive feasibility studies and cost evaluations for various initiatives, providing strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.

Lead discussions on technical equipment or services with suppliers and contribute expertise in the negotiation with the purchasing department. Coordinate technical acceptance and approvals on and off-site, ensuring alignment with project requirements and standards, and resolving any technical issues that arise.

Coordinate complex projects or contracts for the overall plant success from initiation to completion and ensure status reporting accuracy.

Coordinate the preparation and implementation of LEAN concept efficacy and improvement projects. Drive LEAN initiatives, identify opportunities for improvement, and spearhead efforts to optimize processes and enhance overall plant performance.

Oversee the overall planning, execution, and documentation of process modifications, ensuring seamless integration with operations and optimizing efficiency. Maintaining open all the communication with the stakeholders. 

Oversee the planning, coordination, and control of the capacity calculation process of the plant within the framework of operational planning and/or in the evaluation of production scenarios. Drive data-driven decision-making, optimize capacity utilization, and develop strategies to enhance operational efficiency and flexibility.

Maintain all critical KPI from the team up to date.

Coordinate the plant investment strategy with production and maintenance sectors for optimal use of resources destined for the plant. Drive cross-functional collaboration, analyze investment opportunities, and develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize resource allocation and enhance plant performance.

Coordinate the ensuring of cost tracking, monitoring, and reporting for capex and non-capex investments. Develop and oversee cost tracking systems, analyze expenditure trends, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize investment performance and cost efficiency.

Coordinate and maintain up to date tracking of the budget of personal costs and non-personal costs for all the accounts inside the engineering cost centers. Develop and oversee budget tracking systems, analyze expenditure trends, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize cost efficiency and meet targets.

Act as the technical and disciplinary lead of the group. Administer company policies and procedures.

Coordinate interviews and participate in the selection of incoming personnel. Develop selection criteria, conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and make recommendations for hiring decisions to ensure the recruitment of qualified individuals who align with the organization's goals and values.

Coordinate the personnel development by planning their training and verifying compliance. Develop comprehensive training plans, oversee training initiatives, monitor compliance with training requirements, and implement strategies to support professional growth and development.

Decide first-level escalation and support for the interfaces departments. Oversee the resolution of escalated issues, collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to address challenges, and develop strategies to prevent future escalations while ensuring smooth operations across departments.

Play deputy roll of the manager in his absence, actively participate in scheduled meetings, and coordinate the actions of the entire sector to ensure seamless operations and alignment with organizational goals.

Active role in the definition and coordination of the preparation of internal reports. Develop comprehensive reporting strategies, oversee data collection and analysis processes, and ensure the timely and accurate creation of internal reports to support informed decision-making at the strategic level.

 

Qualifications

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

Supervisory responsibility for production or facility planners (MV) Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar field

Minimum of 5+ years relevant automotive manufacturing engineering experience

Must have completed PV45 (internal MBV candidates) Knowledge & Skills: 

Expertise in planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and managing complex projects from initiation to completion.

Strong understanding of technical specifications, installation processes, and industry standards, including VDA, IATF, and ISO.

Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.

Strong communication and collaboration skills for liaising with various stakeholders, including suppliers, department heads, and team members.

Proficiency in analyzing data to drive decisions, optimize capacity utilization, track KPIs, and enhance operational efficiency.

Experience in developing and maintaining budget tracking systems, cost tracking, monitoring, and providing recommendations for cost efficiency.

Leadership skills for acting as the technical and disciplinary lead, coordinating team efforts, overseeing personnel development, and ensuring effective resource use and policy administration.
