Role Overview:
Lead – IT Strategy & Transformation is responsible for defining and driving the strategic direction of MB Tech India. This role works closely with senior leadership to ensure technology initiatives align with the Head of IT (HoT) and MB AG’s long-term business objectives. The individual will spearhead critical transformation programs, foster innovation, and oversee the development and execution of key strategic levers within the IT roadmap. The goal is to enable business growth, operational efficiency, and digital evolution while ensuring technology remains a competitive differentiator.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Strategy & Business Alignment:
- Collaborate with the Head of IT and senior leadership to develop an IT strategy aligned with the organization's business goals.
- To drive ShiftRIGHT strategy and objectives in conjunction with the 5 Tech levers of IT ExCom.
- Define short-term and long-term IT objectives that support growth, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.
- Act as the primary liaison between IT departments to ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of IT strategy and transformation efforts.
- Partner with business units to integrate IT initiatives into enterprise-wide strategies.
- Provide Line of Sight to metrics and measures to manage and map progress towards the success of the strategy
IT Transformation & Digital Evolution:
- Lead initiatives to create a data-oriented culture across the organization, driving data democratization, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence adoption.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in IT governance, architecture, and infrastructure.
- Promote an agile and innovation-driven IT culture to rapidly adapt to changing technology landscapes.
- Work with various departments, levers, and pillars to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
- Oversee enterprise-wide digital transformation projects that deliver tangible business outcomes.
Governance, Risk & Compliance:
- Develop and enforce governance frameworks ensuring IT investments align with business priorities.
- Oversee risk management strategies for IT projects, ensuring key non-negotiable priorities around cybersecurity, compliance, and data privacy are upheld.
- Continuously evaluate and refine the IT operating model to ensure scalability, efficiency, and agility.
- Establish clear policies for IT risk assessment, mitigation, and response planning.
- Ensure IT regulatory compliance and industry best practices are adhered to across all operations.
Technology Enablement & Data Strategy:
- Develop a strategy for real-time, data-driven decision-making, leveraging big data platforms and advanced analytics.
- Define and implement technology solutions that enhance operational excellence and drive business value.
- Oversee the allocation of budget and resources to strategic IT initiatives and transformation projects.
- Drive automation and digitization efforts to optimize IT and business processes.
- Ensure enterprise data architecture supports business growth, insights, and decision-making.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, external partners, and internal teams.
- Drive change management efforts to ensure seamless execution of transformation initiatives.
- Influence relevant teams to align and prioritize based on organizational needs and strategic imperatives.
- Ensure clear, large-scale, and impactful communication of IT strategies and transformation efforts across the organization.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to build digital competencies and drive a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 15 years plus relevant experience
- Proven ability to create both short-term and long-term strategic objectives.
- Strong expertise in governance frameworks, compliance, and security.
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using big data platforms and advanced analytics.
- Experience in leading IT transformation efforts and driving change management.
- Excellent communicator, capable of handling large-scale, high-impact communications.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their application in enterprise IT environments.
- Ability to drive organizational change through leadership, influence, and cross-functional collaboration.
