Cooling & Thermal System Development & Localization
Tasks

1. Component localization of cooling/thermal system

-          Local supplier evaluation regarding development and engineering capability

-          Realize component series production from digital data freeze to PPAP (prototyping, PV testing, system testing etc.).

-          System level interface to BBAC during project ramp up phase, coordinate global and local resource to solve and analyse system level malfunctions.

-          Act as the window person between joint venture plant and RD HQ, provide technical support for production engineering issues.

-          Engineering change management and implementation throughout product lifecycle.

2. Component development and system adaptation for cooling/thermal system

-          Support purchasing/quality department for local supplier nomination & development.

-          Overall responsibility for all local engineering activities regarding cooling/thermal system according to Mercedes-Benz Development System (MDS)

-          Release component 3D/2D data together with suppliers, including technical documentation of engineering changes.

-          System level testing and application to ensure the functionality and system reliability.

3.  Overall Vehicle testing, such as summer/winter test and chamber/durability test, etc. and drive system level topics solving, track the affected components internally until the issues solved.

4.  Benchmarking with local competitors and measuring technology application.

Qualifications

·         University degree in mechanical or automotive engineering

·        Applicants with minimum 5 years work experience at OEMs or suppliers

·         Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills. German language and oversea experience preferred

·         Computer skills mandatory, including Windows, Office, CAx (Simens NX)

·         System knowhow in thermal comfort or cooling system, as well as solid knowledge about the core components, such as HVAC, e-Compressor, Heaters, Radiator & Condenser, etc.

·         Self-responsible working attitude and independent problem-solving skills

·         Intercultural competence with good communication 

·         Strong planning and organizational skills

·         High commitment for automobiles and agility in diversified working packages

·         Willingness to travel inside China and abroad to prepare and support launches and issue solving at suppliers
