Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and support EE components for Mercedes-Benz cars ensuring compliance with legal regulations, production demands, and project objectives regarding function, quality, weight, and cost.
• Create and update requirement specifications for components, integrating safety requirements and contributing to concept and vehicle specifications.
• Control and maintain schedules for component and software releases in coordination with Purchase, Logistics, Calculation, and Quality teams.
• Coordinate with E/E system partners regarding system parts in the components.
• Act as the contact person for components in carline projects, delegating tasks to E/E system partners or other project participants as needed.
• Document progress of development in R&D systems.
• Assist in module strategy and module group activities.
• Participate in concept tests for E/E design reviews and B sample tests.
• Support supplier management for both in-house and purchased parts, leading control of system and imposed part suppliers at development and production levels.
• Create and coordinate change requests for component modifications with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop test concepts and specifications for components and coordinate test activities and defect management for ECU.
• Report component-specific topics in carline committees and stakeholder meetings.
• Manage component release processes, including hardware and software prerequisites.
• Coordinate ECU diagnostics across plant, aftersales, and prototype build shops.
• Generate and release ECU coding or coordinate system coding.
• Manage sample provision including vehicle, board, S-HIL, C-HIL deliveries.
• Coordinate plant logistics related to ordering after blank release.
• Assist in creating and releasing test and commissioning regulations (PIV) for components.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Strong automotive domain knowledge, especially in automotive electronics.
• Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with global teams and understanding of OEM/Tier-1 development models.
• Proven problem-solving ability and team motivation skills.
• Good understanding of automotive OEM/Tier-1 development processes.
• Knowledge of automotive body electronics, powertrain, safety systems, ECU functional testing, and software architecture.
• Ability to embody core values, integrity, and professionalism.
• Experience in development of medium complexity ECUs/electronic components (e.g., Cluster ECU, Seat control ECU, Immobilizer, Keyless Entry).
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (full-time) in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline from reputed institutions.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):
• Experience with automotive electronics product development (8+ years).
• Exposure to global automotive development environments and supplier management.
