Job Overview:

The Human Resources Intern will support the Human Resources department and Communications team with a wide range of projects related to HR strategy, diversity & inclusion, HR IT systems, and process management. The intern has the opportunity to partner with key HR team members and gain experience in project management, process improvement and implementation. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support in strategic and functional areas of a human resources department, which may include HR IT systems, diversity equity & inclusion, compensation and benefits recommendations, business analysis, project management, and communications.
  • Assists in the collection of internal and external information for reports and statistical research.
  • Work directly with key personnel to understand project concept, objectives, and approach.
  • Complete data analysis and draft executive recommendations.
  • May be responsible for making meeting arrangements and coordinating workshops.
  • Participate in HR IT topics related to managing application controls and change management
  • Support elaboration and implementation of concepts and HR programs.
  • Handle client requests and deliver quality solutions if able, or escalate the request to a more senior team member.
  • Draft and proofread HR documents including team member communication, HR work instructions, and training materials.
  • Assist with administrative support and other ad hoc HR related projects as assigned.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings
  • Will perform other duties as assigned
  • Assist where needed by Human Resources and Communications.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate or Junior/Senior currently attaining Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, preferably with a focus on Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Leadership, Project Management, HR IT, or comparable study.
  • Previous Internships or work experience in Corporate environments preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Marketing, Communications and Public Relations Experience
  • Experience in Graphic Design and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Social Media Management
  • Mid-level Writing Skills
  • Proactivity and ability to work independently
  • Proficient working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Desire for continuous development and learning opportunities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Prefer knowledge in project management, system development, or organizational change management

Preferred Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in University, in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master’s degree, or recent graduate

  • A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study

  •  Available for a minimum of 6 months

  • Preferred 40/hour work week, but part time hours are also available

Additional details:

  • Hourly rates hourly pay rate of $20.00hr for our internship program

  • MBV does not offer assisted living or a relocation package for this assignment

  • The start date of this position is end of October or November 2025

Since 2006, more than 350,000 Sprinter and Metris vans have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations across the U.S. In 2021, the plant celebrated its 15-year legacy of SKD production in South Carolina. 2023 marked a plant milestone with a record-setting over 50,000 vans produced. The U.S. is the second largest market for Sprinter vans after Germany.
