Job Overview:
The Collections and Remarketing Customer Service Manager (CSM) will manage daily operations including both customer-facing and specialty functions to ensure key performance metrics are met and quality service is provided to MBFS customers while driving process efficiencies. Responsible for leading, coaching, and developing staff to effectively manage their team's performance and develop their Collections and Remarketing team members.
Responsibilities:
- Personnel Management: Handle all aspects of personnel management including talent selection, training, communication of expectations, coaching, developing and disciplining employees; monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job performance. (35%)
- Daily Operations: Manage teams responsible for both customer facing and back-office processes. Responsible for setting the appropriate operational goals and using key performance indicators to monitor and manage performance; Handle escalated issues and provide guidance on appropriate steps to resolve. Identify and communicate risks to the leadership team and develop plans to remediate; Communicate key performance information to the leadership team; ensure compliance with documented policies, procedures, standards and process flows. (25%)
- Strategy: Develop and execute a realistic and comprehensive strategy for his/her own area of responsibility including workflow design, staffing, scheduling, and assigning workload; Identify opportunities for improvement to processes and services and collaborate with business partners across the organization to drive strategic changes forward; Ensure alignment with organization's strategies; Represent team and department interests on strategic initiatives. (20%)
- Vendor Relations: Responsible for maintaining and managing relationships with Collection and/or Remarketing vendors including monitoring vendor performance to ensure adherance to agreed upon service levels and overseeing ongoing due diligence in monitoring vendor compliance with regulatory laws. (10%)
- Compliance: Ensure department is functioning within the parameters of all documented policies and procedures, and internal assessments are performed to ensure compliance. (10%)
Qualifications:
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:
- Business-General: 5 years
- Collections: 2 years
- Customer Service: 2 years
Management: 2 years
Education:
High School Diploma/(GED) is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
