Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Purpose of the Position:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for various assigned projects concerning development, design, construction, and/or installation of Construction Projects at MBUSI facilities. Focus on MEP Projects.

Essential Functions: 

Responsible for coordination of Factory Planning projects.
Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine the simplest, most efficient and cost effective approach to solving engineering tasks at hand.
Develop specification, scope of work, and bid documents for MEP projects. 
Assist Purchasing with bidder lists and bid reviews by providing relevant, consolidated data to support the decision-making process. 
Develop footprints and layouts for new facility projects in cooperation with different departments.
Develop and track project schedules and costs.
Represent the interests of MBUSI and MB Germany/PP. Coordination and interface between MBUSI and MB Germany/PP and reporting to departments. (50%)
Ensure the required quality standards.
Tracking of milestones within the project, timeline planning.
Lead and control budgets for assigned projects.
Create measures in case of recognizable goal deviations for the observance of product goals. (30%)
Establish and apply efficient ways for managing and controlling target-oriented processes.
Integrated use of methods and instruments of project management.
Document methods in the sense of best practice for execution within current and future projects.
Highlight deviations regarding aligned processes. (20%)
 

Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws.  Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
Work safely 100% of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education: 

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering 

or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:   

A minimum of three (3) years' of relevant professional experience in the following area(s):Engineering function in an automotive manufacturing environment. (Focus MEP)

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:  

Understanding of data mangament.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Must be self-directed with excellent written, verbal communication and leadership skills.
Advanced presentation (preparation and delivery) skills.
Advanced facilitation and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar project scheduling program.
PE License.
German language skills
