MIAS Business Acceptance Tester (BAT)

Seeking a detail-oriented Business Acceptance Tester (BAT Analyst) with strong expertise in business logic validation-KPI, data analysis, Advanced Excel & SQL. The ideal candidate will ensure that data-driven solutions meet business requirements by validating end‑to‑end logic, performing complex data integrity checks, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

This role acts as the final quality gate before production release, ensuring that systems deliver accurate, consistent, and reliable outcomes aligned with business expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Alignment & Analysis

• Understand end-to-end business logic, transformation logic, and Data Warehouse concepts.
• Apply critical thinking to validate that system outputs, KPIs, and data flows align with strategic business goals.
• Serve as a key SME to ensure integrated data meets business expectations through rigorous problem-solving and cross-functional alignment.

2. Tools & Technologies

• Advanced SQL & Excel: High expertise in Excel (Pivot, Power Query) and writing complex SQL queries/stored procedures to validate business logic transformations and data flow optimization.
• Data completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Conduct Adaptive Troubleshooting and deep-dive investigations to identify data mismatches and anomalies; adapt and refine SQL scripts on the fly to isolate root causes during troubleshooting.

·       Good to have knowledge in: AWS Glue, Data warehouse concepts & Databricks

• Test frameworks and automation strategies, Strong analytical, communication skills

3 Test Documentation & Traceability

• Create detailed business logic scenarios, test cases, test scripts
• Execute BAT cycles, document defects, and verify fixes.
• Identify gaps between expected business behavior and system functionality.

4. Issue Identification & Reporting

• Analyze discrepancies between system outputs and expected business logic.
• Document issues with detailed reproducing steps, SQL evidence, screenshots, and business impact with Root cause Analysis.
• Collaborate with operational team and business PO to ensure timely resolution.
• Excellent communication skills and capability to explain complex findings to stakeholders such as operational team, markets and business partner
