Objective of Job: As the Assistant Manager Communication, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and measuring PR & Media Relations campaigns to strengthen the corporate and brand image of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam. You will act as a key connector across internal stakeholders, ensuring aligned communications and delivering content that supports business priorities in a competitive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communications Planning:
Based on company and brand strategy, define annual communication strategies for the brand and sub-brands, including key communication targets, core messages, media strategies, and timeline management.
Align closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop comprehensive annual product communication plans.
Continuously monitor corporate image and ensure adherence to company brand guidelines.
Develop and implement robust PR policies and procedures.
Determine and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) for PR plans, providing regular reports and performance tracking.
Develop and implement crisis communications advice and media strategy as needed.
Communications Management & Execution:
Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including local government, media, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), auto communities, and retailers.
Initiate innovative ideas and organize impactful PR activities in line with our Digitalization & Brand strategy.
Collaborate closely with media agencies to ensure high-quality media exposure and news coverage as planned, with clear KPIs.
Manage budgets, administration, documentation, reporting, and analysis for all communication activities.
Regularly provide compelling product news, campaign updates, and business news to local media.
Design and review content for media announcements and media kits.
Prepare speeches and arrange interviews for the Board of Directors (BOD).
Lead media crisis management efforts effectively.
Drive traffic from social channels to the Mercedes-Benz website and test-drive landing pages.
Manage media agency relationships to optimize performance.
Support the provision of PR-related information and photos for news published on the Mercedes-Benz website, Facebook, and YouTube channels.
Work collaboratively with internal departments for corporate and internal communications initiatives.
Press Conferences and Activations:
Create exceptional product experiences, including press conferences at motor shows, product launches, test drive activities, and media workshops, based on the annual product plan, from concept development to flawless execution.
Manage the media test drive fleet, defining model types and communication highlights.
Other Duties:
Conduct product placement activities and develop related content.
Support the creation of content, materials, and guidelines for dealer PR activities.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the communication objectives.
Qualifications:
Must be a Vietnamese citizen with full legal eligibility to work in Vietnam.
University degree in Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of working experience in Communications or relevant fields.
Strong knowledge of and passion for luxury and/or automotive brands.
A passionate, ambitious, and creative talent who enjoys creating something impactful, while also caring for the little details that distinguish the Mercedes-Benz brand.
Excellent verbal and written communication and writing skills in both English and Vietnamese.
A proven track record of successful PR campaigns with delivered KPIs.
Mastery of digital PR channels.
Excellent leadership skills.
Sensitive to new trends in communication regarding content, communication instruments, and media channels.
