As an AI program manager in the team you will…

•         Develop and steer the MBGC AI strategy as well as the “Tech China”-internal AI strategy.

•         Contribute to the vision and technical roadmap for how MBGC can benefit from data science, AI & ML techniques as well as concrete milestones for how to realise this vision.

•         Drive the transformation of the organization across different maturities from AI-Awarenes via AI-first towards AI-native

•         Plan, design and manage the AI landscape in MBGC Tech.

•         Partner with business units (including RD, BMBS and other BU), understand their business problems and discover advanced analytics and AI use cases through consulting and propose/design/implement solutions to these use cases in order to drive measurable business outcomes.

•         Drive adoption of data-driven culture and the application of industry best practices to MBGC data assets.

•         Drive business process innovation with AI technologies and monitor technology trend continuously

•         Steer & conceptualize end‑to‑end AI & GenAI solutions that deliver measurable business impact across Mercedes‑Benz China, aligning with the company’s AI ecosystem, platform services, governance, and portfolio management processes.

• University degree (MA/Phd preferred) with a very strong academic background in related subjects (e.g. mathematics, statistics, computer science, data mining, machine learning, logistics engineering, physics or a related quantitative discipline)

Experience:

·       7+ years in software/solutions management, 3+ years experience in Data&AI-related areas; proven record of managing large scale programs and strategic initiative execution.

·       Familiar with common LLM architectural approaches (e.g. RAG, Agents), frameworks and fundamental principles

·       Proficient in operating at enterprise scale (rollout of programs cross-domain/function).

·       Experience managing complex, enterprise-level AI or digital transformation programs with multiple stakeholders

·       Experience with agile software development (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)

·       Experience of working in an agile team with internal and external resources

·       Experience in multi-national company or multi-cultural environment

·       Experience in Change management and communications

·       Ability to translate technical AI topics into business impact

Specific Knowledge

·       Fluent in English

·       Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and analytics workflows

·       Strong experience with Program governance, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.

·       Exceptionally good communication skills towards colleagues and management

·       Excellent written and communications skills to report back the findings in a clear, structured manner are required
