Aftersales Logistics Process Engineer
Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Process Design / Optimization:

  • Design and implement improvements in logistics processes for aftersales, including spare parts management, reverse logistics, repairs, and returns.
  • Design and implement improvements to reduce lead times, inventory costs, and improve delivery accuracy for aftersales products and services.
  • Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and suggest solutions to enhance the overall workflow.
  • Support and Co-ordinate IT teams to develop and implement new process designs in S4Hana / Oracle based systems
  • Implement and maintain systems like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and other logistics software to track and manage parts and inventory in real-time.
  • Work on integrating new technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Internet of Things (IoT) to automate and optimize logistics processes.
  • Use data analytics tools to monitor and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) related to aftersales logistics such as delivery times, returns, and inventory turnover.
  • Prepare regular reports on process performance and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor trends in returns and repairs, identifying patterns that may signal product issues or opportunities for improvement in the logistics process.
  • Design and optimize E2E Warehouse processes and systems
  • Oversee the management of spare parts and returned products in warehouses, ensuring proper storage, handling, and inventory tracking.
  • Implement inventory management systems that provide real-time tracking of parts and returns.
Qualifications

Key Skills and Qualifications:

o   Logistics and Supply Chain Management: In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, distribution channels, and inventory management.

o   Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and metrics for demand forecasting, system optimization, and process improvements.

o   ERP and Logistics Software: Proficiency in using logistics-related software such as SAP, Oracle, or WMS.

o   Problem-Solving: Ability to identify bottlenecks, delays, and inefficiencies in the logistics system and implement solutions.

o   Project Management: Experience in managing logistics projects, coordinating across departments, and ensuring on-time implementation.

o   Automotive Knowledge: Understanding of the automotive industry, especially related to spare parts, aftersales services, and maintenance operations.

o   Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with suppliers, dealers, and internal teams.

Educational Background:

o   Degree: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical/automotive engineering, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related field.

o   Certifications: Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, ISM), logistics, or SAFe Agile can be beneficial.

Experience:

o   At least 5 years in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably within the automotive industry.

o   Experience with automotive aftersales operations or parts distribution is highly advantageous.

o   Experience with logistics software and tools used in the industry.
