Job Overview

This role is pivotal in driving eCommerce strategic initiatives, including the online credit application, and ensuring compliance in partnership various Mercedes-Benz entities. The role will lead product management and development for eCommerce projects, providing ongoing support for eCommerce features such as payment estimators and credit applications. Engagement in all Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) activities for MBUSA, MBVans, and MBFS, ensuring alignment with agile methodologies is required. The Advisor is a member of a technology development program that is tied to one or more teams (both MBFS and MBUSA) that work based on agile principles to create digital technologies (i.e. products) serving our internal and external customers. The Advisor is responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, viable, and sustainable eCommerce products that meet customer needs over the product-market lifecycle for Passenger Cars (PC) & VANS as it relates to MBFS. The Advisor accomplishes this by collaborating with a wide range of people such as a solution owner, business owners, customers and stakeholders to identify and define customer needs, understand the product’s object in context of the broader solution and developing, maintaining, and improving the product vision, roadmap, and features.
Responsibilities
OEM Engagement & Alignment: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and 3rd party technology providers. Partner with the MBFS teams on establishing and executing the strategic vision for Mercedes-Benz digital retailing capabilities for PC & VANS. - 20%
Exploring Markets and Users: Gather OEM and dealership digital retailing requirements, and assess MBFS product capabilities in order to make recommendations by scenarios. Research, observe, and document how users utilize digital retailing technologies in their environments in order to drive an effective product design and implementation. - 20%
Defining Product Strategy, Vision, and Roadmaps: Collaborate with key MBFS stakeholders, and 3rd party technology providers to deliver digital retailing technology products and services. Lead the coordination of all MBFS digital retailing activities from the initial concept to the production deployment. Acts as a Thought Leader by driving an outside-in perspective on Tier 1 digital retailing technologies and trends with a focus on competitive advantage. Prepare presentations for leadership when necessary - 20%
Managing and Prioritizing the Backlog: Guide feature creation, prioritization of features based on WSJF, Accepting Features and managing the runway. Product Management plays a role in PI Planning, Inspect and Adapt activities, System Demos, Solution Demos, and PI System Demos, actively imparting knowledge, collecting feedback, and addressing product-related issues for MBUSA PC & VANS and MBFS. - 15%
Delivering Value: Advisor leverages the Continuous Delivery Pipeline to release value with optimal market timing. This requires collaboration across the value stream and insuring completeness. Product Managers with internal customers collaborate with Value Stream stakeholders to ensure solutions deliver value to the MBFS and MBUSA PC & VANS organizations. - 15%
Serve as a subject matter expert for MBUSA PC & VANS on MBFS regulations and protocols, particularly in relation to credit applications. Ensure all digital retailing solutions comply with relevant legal and operational standards, and support cross-functional teams in navigating regulatory requirements. -10%
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Field of study: Business Administration; Finance; Information Technology; Marketing
Experience: Minimum 5 years overall
