The Advisor, Customer Data Management is part of the Digital Experience Business & Customer Data Integrations team and supports this vision and MBUSA’s north star strategy to lead in digital innovation and become the most desired electric luxury brand.  This role will manage all aspects of Mercedes-Benz North American customer data from data intake and data enhancements to consumption by various internal and external customers. Additionally, this position is responsible for the promotion, implementation, and optimization of customer data use cases across the MBUSA business and marketing landscape.  Cross-functional collaboration is essential and the position partners closely with MBUSA IT, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, MBUSA business units, and external vendors.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a background that has knowledge of the use of customer data as it relates to vehicle sales processes, dealership processes, front-end/user-journey expertise, CRM, and a customer-first attitude.

 

Responsibilities

•    Act as subject matter expert on the customer data vision of the company and assist in translating it into actionable projects
•    Work with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and scope while maintaining adherence to timelines, budget, and resource requirements.
•    Guide and influence cross functional teams across the organization for on time delivery of projects
•    Facilitate communication between project teams, stake holders, and senior management
•    Manage external vendors and contracts as part of customer data projects
•    Collaborate with various business partners, field, and dealers to understand their needs from the customer perspective and translate the requirements into executable projects
•    Be proactive in building relationships with downstream system stakeholders to understand market demands and scale
•    Influence internal stakeholders on following good and compliant customer data processes including data quality, integrity, and security
•    Lead all customer data utilization by acting as CDM data steward deputy and ensuring value driven use case implementations while staying within guardrails provided by data privacy laws and internal data governance policies 
•    Ensure data process performance, track progress, identify areas of improvement, and act as primary point of contact for any problems, often complex and technical in nature, that impact customer data
•    Prepare and present executive-level presentations on CDM topics
•    Act as the gatekeeper for customer data with regards to the California Consumer Protection Act through validation and provision of required data

 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's Degree (accredited school) with emphasis in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science. 
•    Must have 5-7 years (total) of experience in the following:  

o    Project management experience leading projects, meeting timelines and working with cross-functional teams.
o    Experience in scaling data and digital services.
o    Customer and target-oriented thinking.
o    Strong self-motivation and organization and ability to work in an agile environment.
o    General knowledge of the automotive customer touchpoints
o    Market Research: General Knowledge of market research sources, data analysis techniques and methodology from various research tools.
o    Great collaboration and partnership skills with both internal and external stakeholders. 
o    General knowledge of managing budgets or multiple projects, internally and externally.
o    Experience with or understanding of the SAFe methodology a plus.
