ADAS Algorithm Engineer Longitudinal Control 智驾纵向控制算法工程师
Tasks
  • Objective of job (abbreviated) 
    -Method and algorithm development, integration and validation with strong focus on vehicle control for both driving and active safety features.  
    - Development on vehicle control algorithms from planned trajectory to chassis control interface for series product.
    - Establish and continuously improve data-driven based development framework to iteratively improve control system.
    - Define and maintain chassis actuator functional and performance requirements, including brake system and powertrain system. Analyze track and drive resolution of actuator-related issues, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders
    - Cooperation with relevant internal and external algorithm experts mainly in China and Germany for automated driving and driver assistance systems.
    - Working with the onsite project team and counter-teams in Germany and the supplier requirements for autonomous driving systems.

Qualifications

Education
- Master in vehicle engineering, robotics, electrical engineering or a related field.

Experience
- Industrial experience in robotics or ADAS/AD software development.
- Development experience on ADAS function (e.g, AEB, ACC, NGA, etc,).
- Familiar with control (MPC, LQR, PID, etc,) algorithms in autonomous driving with development experience, have base knowledge about start-of-the-art planning.
- Hands on development experience AD platforms (ROS, Autoware, Apollo, etc.)
- Practical knowledge of software engineering on Linux/QNX preferred.

Specific Knowledge
- Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German language beneficial.
- Strong skill in C++ programming and scripting languages (Python among others)
- Experience with source code management, unit testing, code review and issue tracking systems.
- Experience with ADAS Chassis control interface (ESP, EPS, etc,)
- Inter-cultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels.
- Independent and proactive working style, willingness to travel inside China and abroad to conduct system testing.

Job designation/Field of work:
Main tasks         
- Develop vehicle control SW for both prototype and series engineering projects:
- Develop vehicle motion control SW with cooperating both internal and external partner for highway and urban AD driving system and Active Safety system.
- Analysing and evaluating the requirements of the adjacent software modules on the control algorithm and, in cooperation with the software runtime architects, derive new algorithm concept as well as the optimal interaction of algorithm. And improve the control algorithm based on carline chassis characters.
- Keep up with latest trends and technologies to fulfil future R&D subjects and identify development needs.
- Development data-driven evaluation system, perform simulation and in- vehicle testing and tuning on the performance. 
- Define and maintain the actuator performance requirements. Analysis and drive the resolution of relevant issues with cross-function team.     
AD prototype testing & evaluation of 3rd party AD technology based on a PoC level:
- Plan & conduct AD vehicle testing for a step-by-step function integration
- Support external tech company to understand and work with in-house developed vehicle control SW module.
- Evaluate external AD system together with the advanced engineering team.    
- Project management & collaboration with other external tech companies
- Actively drive & track project progress, connect & synchronize internal & external stakeholders from China and Germany.
- Understand and support the development of the RD China strategy.
