Objective of Job - Develop and optimize planning and control algorithms for Automated Driving - Develop driving planning and control verification and validation methods - Work in collaboration with different partners like System, Perception, BSW and other internal teams - Analyze, debug and fix the panning & control realted issues after road testing. Task Description Develop and optimize planning and control algorithms for Automated Driving - Develop and optimize algorithms to plan and optimize the driving trajectories and controller performance, in particular for China specific scenarios - Analyzing and evaluation the requirements of the adjacent software modules on the planning and control algorithms, and in cooperation with the software runtime architects, derive new algorithmic concepts as well as the optimal interaction of algorithms. - Keep up with latest trends and technologies to fulfill future R&D subjects and identify development needs. - Build up data-driven based development-framework to iteratively improve planning and control system. Develop driving planning and control verification and validation methods - Define requirements for planning and control solutions - Design systematical and scientific methods for algorithm evaluation - Development evaluation methodology and toolchain for behavior planning & control components in different levels and integrate to SIL/HIL and road test for system validation Work in collaboration with different partners like System, Perception, BSW and other internal teams - Cooperation with relevant internal and external AD software experts mainly in China and Germany for automated driving and driver assistance system. - Working with system team for alignment requirement to related features and the supplier requirements like ESP, EPS, etc. - Working with Perception team to get familiar with related perception output and create optimized tickets - Cooperation with BSW team for alignment interface, timing sequence of Planning & Control components Analyze, debug and fix the planning and control related issues after road test - Analyze the planning & control related feature issue after ADAS/AD road testing - Debug and fix the feature issue, track the issue status, validate the fixed algorithm by SIL/HIL and vehicle test, manage the tickets.
Qualification - Master in Automotive/ Electronics/ Control Science and Engineering / Robotics Engineering, Computing Sciences Engineering - At least 2 year work experience in robotics or AD/ADAS software development. - Fluent English language skills, German language beneficial - Familiar with start-of-the-art planning (A*, EM, Lattice, etc) and control (MPC, LQR, PID, etc) algorithms in autonomous driving with development experience. - Familiar with data-driven development and CICD concept. - Strong skill in C++ programming and scripting languages (Python among others) with large software system development experience. - Experience with source code management, unit testing, code review and issue tracking systems. - Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels - In dependent and proactive working style, willingness to travel inside China and abroad.
