China as our most important and greatest market globally and is pushing massively towards electric mobility.  

Within this fast growing and developing business of Mercedes-Benz in China, the drivetrain system department is continuously developing and plays a signification role for deliver best product to our customer. While series production for BEVs will soon be running under full steam, new electric products need to be implemented.

For our drivetrain integration team, this means massive integration relevant testing & validation & release need to be done soon. To ensure the final quality for our product, efficiency test planning & project specific test methods are the key. This means you will:

Ø  Further develop the eDrive testing catalogue and add test case definition based on Chinese customer driving scenario and MB system requirement

Ø  Evaluate dependencies to other domains like ADAS and Telematics and create test cases to ensure prober interoperability between the domains

Ø  Benchmark testing strategies from other OEMs or other domains to continuously improve efficiency and test coverage or eDrive system related testing 

Ø  Using Big-Data methods, to further improve test concept and coverage based on existing field/development data

Ø  Drive global testing initiative with the “move left” approach, to replace vehicle testing by test benches like HIL and eDribe Lab

Ø  Development of data mining tools for KPI monitoring & mis-behavior detection from big fleet of development vehicles, e.g. Python or Matlab

Ø Work with other stakeholders, e.g. project team, function owner, component responsible, for smooth and fast iteration regarding new added feature implementation test and bug-fix validation. 

Education: Master’s degree in automotive or similar.

Experience:

• At least 5 years working experience in E-drive powertrain testing and data analysis/data mining relevant area

• In-depth understanding of eDrive system or eDrive HV system design, testing, validation, integration and relevant areas.

• Understanding on eDrive architecture, such as networking, powernet, diagnose etc. is beneficial.

• Understanding drivetrain system working principle, e.g. e-drive/PHEV, high voltage battery, Charging system.

• Logical thinking for mis-behavior detection & technical judgement providing based on data analysis result.

Specific knowledge

• fluent written/spoken English, German beneficial

• Software skills in Vector (CANape/CANoe), INCA and DTS Monaco mandatory

• Excellent communication skills (for effective communication with stakeholders)

• Team-Oriented working attitude, ability to work independently, fast learning and self-motivated.
