Objectives:
Get familiar with all MB BEV/ICEV powertrain and software
Be responsible for OBD functions calibration and release for MB projects
Be responsible for OBD Remote feature design and validation and release
Be responsible for issue tracking and solution finding for powertain projects and OBD remote
Be in close contact and cooperation with RD-development counterpart
Make sure the OBD remote are working before first integration into the vehicle
Support of overall powertrain System and OBD remote E2E testing
Create test reports and report to powertrain projects and OBD remote
Qualifications:
Education:
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Experience in ICE OBD calibration, including O₂ sensor, catalyst,misfire,fault memory diagnostics.
Experience in UDS diagnostic and remote diagnositc function development and validation.
Experience in OBD certification and homologation documentation for global markets.
Experience with OBD generic scan tools , OBDonUDS/OBD classic diagnostic communication protocols.
Specific Knowledge:
Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese; German language skills are an advantage.
Knowledge of OBD architecture and automotive software architecture (e.g., AUTOSAR, Vector BSW).
Proficiency with Vector CANape, CANoe, ETAS INCA, and DTS Monaco.
Solid understanding of worldwide OBD regulations (e.g., GB 18352.6, CCR T13.1968.2, CCR T13.1962.5, EU 7, upcoming China 7 regulations).
Knowledge of SAE J1979, SAE J1979-2/-3, and SAE J2012DA.
Good understanding of diagnostic communication protocols, OBDonUDS, and fault memory concepts.
Experience with Remote OBD requirements, diagnostic data collection, and regulatory compliance is highly preferred.
Knowledge of Mercedes-Benz E/E and powertrain architecture is beneficial.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in an international and cross-functional environment.
Intercultural experience.
Valid driver's license.
