The Material Planning team is a key part of material supply for the Düsseldorf plant. In addition to series supply in JIS and JIT, the team coordinates launch and change management activities and manages the implementation dates of newly introduced components.
Your Responsibilities
Series disposition of production material
· Plan purchased parts in the required quantities and on schedule to ensure uninterrupted material supply for the Düsseldorf site and the Tiaret unloading point.
· Review system-generated parts requirements and validate demand signals.
· Monitor and process supplier delivery confirmations.
· Track advance shipping notices and planned delivery times in coordination with suppliers and transport service providers.
· Process corrections resulting from missing parts, incorrect documentation or similar deviations.
· Handle requirements for special parts that are not captured automatically by the system.
· Support the definition of demand quantities as well as interim and final stock levels.
· Process clearing cases related to overdeliveries and underdeliveries.
Resolution of material shortages
· Review call-off confirmations and clarify the current delivery situation.
· Monitor material receipts and follow up on critical inbound deliveries.
· Support special measures to secure production in the event of shortages or other delivery issues.
· Participate in cross-plant coordination meetings on the allocation of available material.
· After alignment, commission special transports, review costs and prepare related statements.
· After alignment, initiate and monitor escalation levels with suppliers and internally.
· Clarify material discrepancies, identify root causes, clean up planning documentation and initiate documentation corrections.
· Completed studies with a focus on logistics or comparable degree.
· Job-specific professional experience in logistics is desirable.
· Fluent English and confident German language skills, both written and spoken.
· Confident and professional use of relevant IT systems, including MS Office and Power Platform tools.
· Structured, self-reliant and independent working style with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
· Analytical thinking, process understanding and a solution-oriented approach.
· Strong communication skills and assertiveness when working with external partners such as suppliers and freight forwarders.
· High willingness to learn, strong teamwork skills and motivation to continuously improve existing processes.
· Willingness to travel.
