Job Objective
- Act as the China Project Manager for Digital Car Key (DCK) programs, driving project planning, milestone tracking, risk management and successful delivery across multiple vehicle platforms and carlines.
- Lead ICCE and other protocol-related initiatives and ecosystem collaboration, coordinating with industry partners, standardization organizations, smartphone OEMs, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support China-specific DCK requirements and future technology roadmaps.
- Serve as the New DCK ECU BTV, responsible for development governance, validation planning, release readiness, and vehicle integration activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Germany, China, India, suppliers, and vehicle projects, ensuring alignment between software, hardware, cybersecurity, backend, homologation, testing, production, and after-sales organizations.
- Drive program execution and technical decision making for Digital Car Key features, managing dependencies, resource planning, issue escalation and change management for MB.OS architecture.
- Lead vehicle integration and rollout activities for Digital Car Key solutions, ensuring compatibility across vehicle EE architectures, backend systems, mobile ecosystems and future mobility services.
- Coordinate cybersecurity, homologation, compliance and certification activities, ensuring Digital Car Key solutions meet both global Mercedes-Benz standards and China regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present management-level reports, steering committee materials, and executive decision proposals, driving alignment across business and engineering organizations.
Qualifications
Education
- University degree in mechatronics, automotive, electrical engineering, or related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of automotive industry experience with OEMs or suppliers, including Digital Car Key, Access & Drive Authorization, or vehicle security-related systems.
- Proven experience owning vehicle functions or products from concept definition through SOP, including requirement engineering, feature prioritization, stakeholder management, and release planning.
- Strong understanding of Digital Car Key ecosystems, mobile device integration, and relevant communication technologies (BLE, NFC, UWB). Detailed protocol implementation experience is beneficial but not required.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional and global development teams, driving technical alignment, issue resolution, and successful product delivery.
Specific Knowledge
- Proficient in electronic and software design for Body EE ECUs. Deep understanding of communication and diagnostic protocols (CAN, LIN, ETH). The development task in EE scope requires candidates onboard with necessary knowhow, e.g. understanding communication and diagnostic protocol (CAN, LIN, ETH)
- Familiar with HiL testing, testbench setup and system troubleshooting.
- Familiar with MDS process/ localization process/change management process of Mercedes-benz
- Experience with PDM systems e.g. Dialog/Smaragd/ACM/Start
- Experience with Vector toolchain (CANoe, CANape, CANdela), and E/E architecture topology. Knowledge of security concepts: secure boot, key management, hardware security modules (HSM), and cryptographic algorithms.
- Chinese native speaker with fluent English language in spoken and written and high management presentation skills
- Self-responsibility, team player and good communication skills.
