As part of our Data & Process Engineering team, you will contribute to next-generation cost calculation software, advanced digital processes, and innovative AI- and data-driven solutions. Together, we will increase transparency, improve decision-making, and strengthen the competitiveness of Mercedes-Benz through efficient processes, high-quality data, and cutting-edge technologies.

How You Will Contribute

·       Coordinate material cost increase assessments and bring together Purchasing, Logistics, and key business partners to create clear, reliable results

·       Keep critical Cost Engineering processes and IT systems running smoothly, while continuously improving them and supporting users through training and guidance

·       Transform cost-relevant input factors into a strong foundation for cost calculations, business case evaluations, and management decisions

·       Create and enhance artificial intelligence applications that make cost analysis and calculation smarter, faster, and more effective

·       Lead cross-center cost analyses that support both strategic priorities and day-to-day operational decisions

·       Serve as the key contact for project assignments based on vehicle platform and target group, such as Interior, Exterior, and Chassis, while coordinating all Top Parts processed in Romania

·       Take ownership as the main coordinator for Sourcing Planning Meetings covering components processed in Romania

What You Bring

·       University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable field

·       Experience in Cost Engineering is an advantage and will help you quickly create impact in the role

·       Experience in digitalization initiatives and AI use cases, combined with a hands-on mindset and the motivation to shape better processes

·       Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Power BI, and data analytics

·       Curiosity for new technologies and enthusiasm for bringing innovative ideas to life

·       Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills

·       Self-driven, structured, and results-oriented working style

·       Entrepreneurial mindset, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and improve the way we work
