Primary Project Responsibility

1.       Coordination of durability/ robustness/ function tests for localized chassis parts according to Mercedes-Benz specification and required development timeline.

2.       Supporting test bench tests.

3.       Coordination of tests at supplier and related issue resolution.

4.       Coordination of test- & release plans and documentation in respective tools.

5.       Root cause analysis of potential part failure and verification of part optimization.

6.       Technical discussion with all relevant stakeholders at RD China, RD Germany, BBAC, suppliers and test labs.

7.       Preparation of reporting to relevant Committees/ Boards.

General Task Description

8.       Technical alignment with Stakeholders in Germany.

9.       Cross-functional tasks based on business needs.

Education:

§  University degree in mechanical, automotive engineering or similar engineering qualification

Specialization in material science, welding technology or similar beneficial.

Experience:

§  Profound experience in automotive engineering at OEM or supplier

Expert skills in materials and durability

Specific Knowledge:

§  Chassis technology knowledge

§  Strong planning and organizational skills

§  Self-responsible working attitude and initiative

§  High commitment for premium vehicles of Mercedes-Benz and quality

§  Fluent English language skills

§  Computer skills mandatory, including Windows, Office, CAx (Siemens NX)

§  Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels

§  Chinese native speaking skills preferred.

§  Willingness to travel inside China and to Germany

Overseas study or work experience preferred; German language preferred
