Mercedes-Benz Vans is looking for a motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our Body Shop team at the new, sustainable and highly integrated light commercial vehicle production plant in Jawor. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management of a production shift, ensuring safe, stable and efficient production while supporting the ramp-up of battery-electric LCV manufacturing. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can manage daily shopfloor operations, develop teams and actively contribute to shaping the future of automotive manufacturing.

Manage daily production operations within the Body Shop area, with direct responsibility for operational performance during the assigned production shift.
Ensure achievement of key operational KPIs, including safety, quality, production volume, cost efficiency, delivery performance and process stability.
Lead, coordinate and develop a production team of approximately 100 employees, including group leaders, team leaders and production operators.
Provide clear direction, guidance and support to the team, ensuring effective communication, discipline, employee engagement and professional development.
React quickly to production deviations, bottlenecks and escalations, initiate corrective actions and ensure sustainable problem solving on the shop floor.
Drive continuous improvement activities using Lean manufacturing principles, shopfloor management routines and structured problem-solving methods.
Ensure compliance with corporate standards, health and safety regulations, quality requirements and internal production procedures.
Cooperate closely with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, Engineering, R&D and other internal stakeholders to secure smooth and stable production operations.
Support production ramp-up activities, process stabilization and knowledge transfer within the Mercedes-Benz Vans production network.
University degree in engineering, production management, technology or a comparable qualification.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, preferably in a leadership role such as Shift Manager, Production Manager, Area Manager or similar.
Practical experience in managing production teams in a shopfloor environment; experience with larger teams and multi-level leadership structures is an advantage.
Strong understanding of production operations, KPI management, escalation processes and daily shopfloor management routines.
Knowledge of Body Shop / BIW processes is a strong advantage.
Very good knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and their application in a modern automotive production environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under time pressure and based on operational data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead effectively in a dynamic and intercultural environment.
Prior experience in an automotive manufacturing plant is preferred, especially within an OEM or Tier 1 supplier environment.
Fluent English is required; German language skills are an advantage.
Willingness to travel to other Mercedes-Benz locations for training, ramp-up support and knowledge sharing.
