Primary Project Responsibility

1.       Leading Axle assembly tasks in the Chassis Team.

a)   Overall responsible for localized axle assembly according to Mercedes-Benz Development standards.

b)      Coordinating with RD HQ, suppliers, purchasing and quality for technical consulting, nomination, audit and supplier release.

c)      Align timelines and coordinate the provision of prototype parts to set up new assembly lines if no series parts are available.

d)      Implement lessons-learned process and pro-actively drive advanced methods to ensure automated quality control.

2.       Leading Axle component development tasks in the Chassis Team.

a)   Overall responsible for localized axle development according to Mercedes-Benz Development System.

b)      Coordinating with RD HQ, suppliers, purchasing and quality for technical consulting, nomination, audit and supplier release.

c)      Leading technical discussions and internal/ external project meetings with suppliers and other departments.

d)      Releasing technical requirements including 3D model and 2D drawings to suppliers and related departments.

e)      Evaluating testing results and giving suspension component/ system release based on Mercedes-Benz requirement.

General Task Description

1.       Development tasks for China specific content and open-source parts with modified design in the chassis incl. handling the decision-making process.

2.       Support engineering change implementation throughout product lifecycle of localized components of all locally produced Mercedes-Benz vehicles Localization tasks for locally produced parts incl. the support of supplier nomination, close collaboration with Stakeholder issue solving during hardware phases, etc.

3.       Technical alignment with Stakeholders in Germany.

4.       Coordinating with field quality organization.

5.       Cross-functional tasks based on business needs

§  Chassis technology knowledge

§  Strong planning and organizational skills

§  Self-responsible working attitude and initiative

§  High commitment for premium vehicles of Mercedes-Benz and quality

§  Fluent English language skills

§  Computer skills mandatory, including Windows, Office, CAx (Siemens NX)

§  Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels

§  Chinese native speaking skills preferred.

§  Willingness to travel inside China and to Germany

Overseas study or work experience preferred; German language preferred
