Objective

• Responsible for translating Audio and Cockpit related system requirements into hardware platform architectures and technical solutions.
• Act as the technical owner for Audio-related hardware technologies, driving component strategy, architecture planning, hardware design, supplier technical reviews, and technology roadmap development.

• Represent the hardware organization in platform-level discussions with system teams, software teams, suppliers, and global development teams, while actively contributing to hardware development projects and technical decision making.

   

   

Main tasks

1. Hardware Architecture & Solution Definition

• Analyze system requirements from a hardware perspective

• Translate requirements into hardware platform solutions

• Define Audio-related hardware architectures and implementation concepts

• Support hardware architecture discussions with global teams

• Perform architecture trade-off analysis and technical feasibility assessments

• Support platform-level technical decisions

2. Audio Domain Ownership & Technology Roadmap

• Develop Audio domain technology roadmaps

• Define preferred Audio component strategies

• Evaluate emerging Audio technologies and industry trends

• Establish reusable Audio hardware solutions

• Build preferred supplier and component ecosystems

   

3. Hardware Design & Development

• Lead Audio-related hardware development activities

• Participate in schematic design and architecture implementation

• Drive component selection activities

• Support board bring-up and debugging

• Support Audio performance optimization and troubleshooting

• Support validation and issue resolution

   

4. Technical Reviews & Supplier Management

• Lead Audio architecture reviews

• Review supplier hardware solutions and design proposals

• Challenge supplier technical assumptions and design decisions

• Support complex technical issue escalations

• Participate in cross-functional technical reviews

   

5. Capability Building & Knowledge Management

• Develop Audio design guidelines

• Build review checklists and best practices

• Establish reusable design knowledge and lessons learned

• Support capability development within the hardware organization

• Drive continuous improvement activities

Qualification

Education

• Master degree in electronic/electro-technic, computer science or similar course of studies
• Fluent English and Chinese is mandatory; German language knowledge is an advantage

Experience

•  Minimum 12 years of experience in hardware development, hardware architecture, or related technical leadership roles.
•  Extensive experience in automotive Audio, Cockpit, or related domains.
•  Proven track record of leading architecture discussions, technical reviews, and solution evaluations across multiple organizations and disciplines.
•  Experience translating product and system requirements into scalable hardware platform solutions.
•  Experience driving technical trade-offs involving hardware, software, user experience, cost, performance, reliability, and product strategy.
•  Experience working directly with OEMs, Tier1 suppliers, semiconductor vendors, and global development organizations.
•  Experience establishing technology roadmaps, preferred component strategies, and reusable platform architectures.
•  Experience representing technical organizations in executive-level, customer-facing, or global engineering discussions.
•  Experience mentoring engineers, influencing technical direction, and driving capability development across organizations.
• Hands-on experience in hardware development, hardware debugging, and product delivery throughout the entire product lifecycle from concept phase to mass production.
