Job Overview
The incumbent will serve as a strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to assigned business areas at Mercedes-Benz Financial Services at the Fort Worth location. This role partners closely with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives, ensure compliance with HR policies and employment laws, proactively address employee relations and organizational design needs, and support workforce planning and change initiatives. The position actively promotes Mercedes-Benz as an employer of choice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide operational management with information, assistance and guidelines needed to comply with both global and local HR policies and procedures, as well as federal and state employment laws.
• Advise on reasonable courses of action for employee relations issues including conflict management, performance management, manager and associate coaching, policy interpretation, disciplinary action and terminations. Assist managers with the development of performance improvement plans as necessary.
• Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, and talent strategy to support current and future business needs.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to management regarding organizational structure and design, headcount changes, job banding and the development of job descriptions. Maintain position management module in HRIS system and corporate organizational charts.
• Support and guide leaders through organizational change initiatives, including restructures, process changes, and cultural transformations.
• Investigate sexual harassment, hostile work environment, workplace violence and discrimination claims. Support the BPO and Corporate Security teams as needed.
• Coordinate employment-related legal action including representing the Company, participating in negotiations and working to minimize any potential liability. Identify areas where the Company may have potential legal liability and implement processes to minimize any such exposure.
• Monitor emerging HR practices, legal trends and changes in state and/or federal law and update policies and practices as appropriate.
• Analyze and leverage HR data and metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, performance trends) to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Collaborate with Shared Services HR colleagues to implement HR Policies and Compliance initiatives, as well as, with Training and Development teams to ensure employee training is necessitated by changing business conditions, legal requirements, and social climate.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Must have 5 - 7 years (total) of experience in the following:
• Administration Knowledge of administrative procedures, process/project development, and system procedures.
• Business - General knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization.
• Business Management knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, human resource management and efficiency and process methods.
• Human Resources knowledge of principles and procedures for Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations, Recruitment and Selection, and HRIS.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (accredited school) with emphasis in:
o Business Administration
o Business Management
o Communications
o Human Resource Management
Licenses / Certifications
o PHR or SPHR is a plus but not required
