Objective of Job:
- Responsible for ADAS customer function release to overall vehicle, quality departement and final customer.
- Review the specification of related functions with customer function owner (CFO) to ensure testability and clarify the requirement scope to be tested in each release based on function status.
- Define test and release strategy of corresponsiding functions, including test allocation between digital platform (e.g. SIL, HIL) and vehicle.
- Translate requirement to scenario-based test cases for both digital platform and vehicle and organize the test cases review with related partners (e.g. CFO, digital platform)
- Cooperate with digital platfrom team for digital testing execution.
Responsible for test plan on digital platform and vehicle based on test scope, ensure execution quality, evaluate test result from both digital and vehicle platforms, and deliver final maturity report for release decision.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or above in vehicle engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, computer science, or a related area
- 3–5 years of experience in vehicle EE, ADAS, CarIT related.
- Solid experience in ADAS customer function, with deep understanding of function behavior at both signal level, e.g. CAN/SOME-IP signals, sensor inputs and actuator outputs, and end-to-end system level, e.g. activation conditions, ODD, performance envelope and HMI.
- Practical experience in scenario-based testing for ADAS functions, including requirement analysis, test scenario design, test case derivation, test scope definition and release maturity evaluation.
- Practical experience in ADAS test automation on digital platforms, e.g. SIL, HIL, including test script development, automated execution and CI/CD regression testing for ADAS functions.
- Practical experience in ADAS in-vehicle testing, e.g. real-road and proving-ground tests, including measurement setup configuration, log data capturing, failure reproduction and result analysis.
- Basic knowledge of project management and MS Office skills. ISTQB certification is beneficial.
- Good driving skills and OEM internal driver license are beneficial.
- Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German language beneficial.
- Excellent communication and team working skills as a part of a global team in a multi-cultural environment.
- Independent and proactive working style with hands-on engineering mindset, willingness to travel inside China and abroad for system testing when required.
- Knowledge in vehicle perception and control systems incl. powertrain, ESP and steering systems.
- Familiar to use different measurement and analysis device, e.g. CANoe, ABD, RTrange, etc.
- Familiar with digital testing toolchains, e.g. SIL, HIL, simulation environment and automated regression testing; able to understand test setup, test execution flow and result evaluation logic.
- Solid understanding of ADAS functions at both signal level (bus signals, sensor raw data, actuator commands) and E2E system level (scenario-based behavior, functional chain from perception to control output); able to trace a failure from log data to root-cause component.
- Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals and hands-on experience using AI coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, LLM-assisted coding) to accelerate test script development, automated evaluation, and data analysis; proactive mindset for integrating AI into daily engineering workflows.
